4Brothers and A Lady Spice Company began at a family barbecue—where good food, laughter, and togetherness were already part of who we are. Like many families, we gathered often around the grill and the table, sharing meals that brought us closer.

As time went on, our family faced a new reality: health concerns, including high blood pressure, meant we needed to rethink how we cooked. We still wanted the bold, comforting flavors we loved, but without relying on excessive salt. When one of the brothers began creating lower-sodium seasoning blends so his wife could enjoy their favorite foods again, everything changed.

What started as a simple act of love quickly became a family effort. We realized that many of the seasonings we grew up using depended more on salt than flavor and we knew there had to be a better way.

Together, our family set out to create blends where flavor comes first. Seasonings made with real ingredients, thoughtfully balanced, and crafted to give home cooks control. You can always add salt, but once it’s in, you can’t take it out.

Today, our blends are hand-crafted and packaged in small batches at the Rockwood Market Hall Commissary Kitchen in Portland, Oregon. Every jar reflects our commitment to quality, care, and the belief that great food should bring people together.
